From praying for a young boy fighting an infection to sending text messages of comfort to another who experienced a great loss. Praying for one as the mail brought a BIG BLOW to praying for a student that I was tutoring and asking God what the BEST way was/is to help him understand math that he clearly believes, "Makes NO sense!".
I thought, "THIS world makes no sense"!!
Today would of been a good day for Jesus to return -- just saying. I am ready for Him to tell His Father and rally the troops.
Even this evening, I am seeking my bible for some comfort and I hear a reporter on CNN try to interview another -- trying to figure out WHY the shooter opened fire.
And then my heart breaks for a family on vacation that had to witness their 2 year old being grabbed by a gator. We all hoped for a brief moment it would end well -- but then over 12 hours later -- the worse news is realized. THAT makes no sense. I have been to the Grand Floridian. My kids and I have walked those grounds.
I totally believe God is still on the throne, but the prince of this world is Satan right now.
And, accidents still happen.
Life is not fair.
It rains on the just and the unjust.
Psalm 20
-4 God answer you on the day you crash,
The name God-of-Jacob put you out of harm’s reach,
Send reinforcements from Holy Hill,
Dispatch from Zion fresh supplies,
Exclaim over your offerings,
Celebrate your sacrifices,
Give you what your heart desires,
Accomplish your plans.
5 When you win, we plan to raise the roof
and lead the parade with our banners.
and lead the parade with our banners.
May all your wishes come true!
6 That clinches it—help’s coming,
an answer’s on the way,
everything’s going to work out.
an answer’s on the way,
everything’s going to work out.
7-8 See those people polishing their chariots,
and those others grooming their horses?
and those others grooming their horses?
But we’re making garlands for God our God.
The chariots will rust,
those horses pull up lame—
and we’ll be on our feet, standing tall.
9 Make the king a winner, God;
the day we call, give us your answer.
the day we call, give us your answer.
My prayer:
To the one who desperately wants to hear from God this eve --
To the one who received devastating news today --
To the one who sat bedside as a team of doctor's continued to figure out a plan --
To the one who is fighting for her marriage and the other half wants to quit --
To the one who is believing a lie from Satan and needs to find godly counsel --
To the one who could not stay at work today -- as the sorrow was too overwhelming --
To the one who had to fight for just her legal rights today because the ex was being selfish --
To the one who was ugly to her sister and needed to repent --
To the one who felt so ashamed, they could not even attend church tonight --
To the one who is blaming herself this eve for something she did --
To the one who lost her security today --
To the parents of that little 2 year old.....
Lord, may YOU answer them on the day they crashed...... IN Jesus name.
Words are few -- comfort is needed.
May they just FEEL you close tonight -- desperately with a peace that surpasses all understanding!
Believing for the good, Lord.
Believing tomorrow will be better.
Believing You are on that throne and You have the BEST plan for us.
Believing there is beauty from any and all ashes...
Believing nothing is wasted and You will draw each and everyone of us near.
Amen.
This is Lane, I know he is with Jesus. Prayers for his family! |
